Yoga in the Park

Savour the beginning of summer as you enjoy a flow yoga class in the fresh air of beautiful Banfield Park. Rejuvenate your body, mind, and spirit in this mindful and playful outdoor yoga practice.  Each week will explore a different natural element theme. We can move the class indoors if the weather is too damp or cold.

Jenny doing Tree Pose (Vrksasana) in Banfield Park in Victoria, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Besides improving one’s sense of balance, this joyful pose strengthens thighs, calves, ankles, and the muscles along the spine. Tree Pose also stretches the groins and muscles of the inner thighs, chest and shoulders. It is reputed to relieve conditions such as sciatica and flat feet.

Register with the Vic West Community Centre to take all five classes for $50.00. Be sure to secure your spot by registering in advance as this class often fills up. If there is space, you can also drop in to any individual class in the series for $12.00/class.
